Men's
Night Out - The Coca Cola Truck
by Tommy G.
 |
Our
July MNO was a very exciting and interesting night. Hosted by George
L., his second one this year, was to bring out the experts to help
him with his recently acquired C-Cab Coca-Cola truck. All total,
there were 30 people that showed up and each had their advice.
|
 |
Jimmy
B. gave George a hand at hosting for George had day surgery that
very day. Jimmy was doing a great job opening the shop, setting
up the chairs and helping George Jr. with the hot dogs and fixings.
After feasting, the crowd broke into two groups, the first was Jimmy,
Nolan, Buddy (good to see him) and Mitch who begin working on George’s
truck and the a group of 26 supervisors.
|
|
Half way thru, a car pulls up with George inside. He was on his
way home from the hospital, with his bracelet still on his arm.
He had to stop by first to see how things were going. George was
still there after I left. This was because he was so excited that
his C-Cab was cranked and running. He even called Inez and put the
phone near the engine to let her hear the purring. |
 |
From
excited to very excited is how he felt when Nolan drove the truck
out of the shop and around the parking lot. I thought George was
going to dance right there.
Yes, he still has some work to do after he is feeling better, but
it was running and George was happy. This is an example of what
Men’s Night Out is all about, helping each other. I felt good watching
George and all I did was hold the flashlight. I too, want to thank
the four workers and all the supervisors for everyone contributed
to a very good evening. |
